Gail Twelves

President

Gail Twelves, president of Twelves Unlimited, has been in the marketing communications industry since 1977, holding leadership positions in regional advertising firms and in corporate marketing.

With three decades in marketing/communications,, Gail has worked in the Pacific Northwest’s largest advertising agencies, the media, major corporations and as a marketing professional in her own business. Gail has lived the marketing process from all sides of the desk. The majority of her career has been split between account supervision in advertising agencies and corporate marketing management.

Clients benefit from Gail’s experience throughout the entire marketing process from the inception of the product or service through research, product design, manufacturing, brand strategy and execution, corporate logo and image design, marketing/advertising strategy, creative development, media planning, all forms of production, public relations programs, corporate communications, events planning, copywriting and industry lobbying. This provides clients absolute continuity throughout all facets of their marketing objectives.

Gail’s experience spans industries that include financial, medical/healthcare, high-tech, med-tech, retail, recreation, real estate, environment, sustainable development, commercial aviation, civic promotions and wineries. With numerous awards to her name, Gail takes pride in knowing that her strategies and campaigns have also broken response records that created substantial growth for her clients.

In addition to managing the agency, Gail participates in numerous civic boards and committees in the Seattle area, including the Puget Sound Regional Council’s Growth Management Policy Board and the Prosperity Partnership as the Brand Initiative “champion;” Master Builders Association’s Built Green Executive Committee, serving as the Marketing Chair; leadership positions in the Sierra Club; local coordination of King County’s natural/non-chemical yard care program, and a number of city and regional citizen advisory boards.

Scott Hamilton

Executive Vice President

Scott Hamilton, Executive Vice President, brings expertise in commercial aviation and business intelligence to Twelves Unlimited. He co-founded, co-owned and co-managed, Linkraven Ltd., which published the internationally-distributed Commercial Aviation Report and Commercial Aviation Value Report; and organized conferences in Asia, Europe and the Americas under the Commercial Aviation Events banner.

Scott joined the airline management ranks in 1979. In 1989, he and a partner formed Linkraven in Britain. During the 10 years Scott and his partner owned and operated Linkraven, Commercial Aviation Report, Value Report and the Events became internationally recognized for their breaking news reporting and high-quality conferences. The influential publications regularly beat larger and more established magazines and newspapers with news about the airline industry.

Scott is frequently called by broadcast and print media to offer expert analysis about aviation issues of the day.

At Twelves Unlimited, Scott serves as a key communications strategist, undertakes business intelligence for the marketing and brand strategies and brings a tremendous institutional knowledge of the airline industry for the benefit of our aviation client base.

Eric Nord

Co-Creative Director: Art Direction and Design

Eric is a Seattle native who has worked as an advertising art director and graphic designer in Seattle and Boston for over 30 years. Since 1992, he has assembled and led creative teams that give clients direct access to experienced creative people. This efficient formula results in strategic thinking, strong positioning and integrated creative solutions executed as advertising, collateral, websites, direct mail and other marketing materials. After graduating from the University of Washington, Eric honed his skills for eleven years in Boston at Giardini/Russell, a full-service advertising agency, as Senior Art Director and at Fader, Jones + Zarkades as graphic designer. Eric has provided seamless creative solutions for clients such as Trus Joist, Weyerhaeuser, Nordstrom, The Gillette Company, The Christian Science Monitor, Hewlett-Packard Medical Products, OPA Ortho, Aviation Capital Group, Starwave Corporation, Alerton Building Controls, Starbucks, Milgard Windows, Performing Arts Center Eastside (PACE), Bidpath, Infocom Entertainment Software and Buck Knives.

Hugh Saffel

Co-Creative Director: Copywriter

Hugh Saffel has 30 years of experience as a copywriter having worked in advertising agencies from Seattle to New York. Hugh is a native of Washington State native and a graduate of Washington State University. He spent several years working as a copywriter at Ogilvy & Mather in New York on amazing products like Shake n’ Bake chicken coating mix. He moved back to Seattle and worked as a Senior copywriter for eight years at Cole & Weber on Puget Sound Bank, Roman Meal Bread, Boeing, K2 Skis, and Nintendo. He then spent seven years with a partner running an ad agency called Hammerquist & Saffel working on Trus Joist, Physio-Control and recreational brands such as The North Face, K2 and Olin Skis, Callaway Golf Apparel, Diadora, Raleigh, Nishiki and Giant Bikes and Sims Snowboards. Since 1998 Hugh has been working with a small team of experienced people to create ads, websites and other marketing materials for Trus Joist, Weyerhaeuser, OPA Ortho, Aviation Capital Group, Alerton Building Controls, Safeco Insurance, Starbucks, Milgard Windows, BidPath, Ex Officio Clothing, Buck Knives, Pendleton Woolen Mills and Terabeam.
