Auctions to sell heavy equipment are usually held in a region where the economy is bad. That’s why the equipment is for sale. We needed to communicate to equipment sellers that they would make more money if they sold it online to reach people with fatter wallets. We produced a series of ads and direct mail postcards to get the word out.
